February – A snowy time

Yep, this year February brought us plenty of snow. Lots to play in, lots to make snowmen with and plenty for our mountain walks.

It all started quietly enough with a few clear nights.

Lovely for AnnMarie to show me some night-photography techniques.

Chilly but fun.

Then it started to snow and I do mean seriously snow.

The birds all needed to come to the bird table for food.

Just like this Robin.

They were certainly hungry little creatures.

Now I call 10 inches of mountain snow,

a good reason for more exploring, so that’s exactly what we did.

Phew, its much harder going in deep snow, I pity those Polar Bears in the Artic.

Anyway here are two more pictures, one of my home in the snow and the other of just what its good to come home to:

Oh and before I go, last month I forgot to mention that I had a little fashion show & portrait session last month.

I asked AnnMarie to do a photo shoot for me. To see the results just click here.

January – The Christmas recovery

Well after so many different Christmas presents I had to start on the hard work of wading through them.

There’s Lego to build and I started with this crane, which I managed to build with almost no help (the cotton on the jib was very awkward).

Then of course one always needs to walk off all that Christmas pudding.

So off we went on some walks, exploring the forest.

There are so many things to see and hear in the forestry, always a great adventure.

This time we needed to check the clearings for some special flowers that I’ve been reading about.

Oh and when we’re taking it easy inside, it lovely to look out and watch the birds.

Here’s a woodpecker:

.

Until next time …

Update Q4

There’s loads that I’ve missed out but how much can I put in just 4 posts. We’ve been for visits to zoos, castles, nature reserves, etc; been walking, biking, climbing, riding; studied all manner of things, I love encyclopaedia-ing. I’ve really got a thing for adventure stories but I guess the telling of them will wait for 2007.

Until then let’s have some more activities, oh and Christmas too.

The study of bubbles – a serious business.

Distracted from my PC, again!

Mawddach Trail – a beautiful bike ride to Barmouth.

Windy Mountain days, but what a view.

Yeeks alive, here come the Fruit Bats.

Ah, Christmas – this is a tough cracker.

Connect wire A to Wire B and then Wire C to AnnMarie – whoops, her hair’s gone all curly, I wonder why?

See you all next year.

Updates Q3

We had a pretty hot summer, great for young foals to play, nice  to relax with or book or cool off in the river.

And even be exhausted in.

Updates Q2

I spent a large amount of time reading my way through this year but as you can see there’s always time for ponies, fashion shows and a NEW bicycle, called “Silvery Blue”.

Oh and chocolate birthday cakes.
